First fishing day we spent at Bung Sam Lan lake -
here Thomas is targeting small stuff...
After only 1 hour fishing,
Florian secured himself a 31 kg Siamese Carp.
Mark with a Mekong Cat of roughly 20 kg.
Steve had this whopper -
Striped Giant Catfish of 15 kg.
We met Paul at Bung Sam Lan -
and here he is with a monster Mekong Cat of 42 kg.
And I finally got this species -
a Chao Phraya Giant Catfish - 16 kg.
Next stop: Kaempeng Saen lakes -
We stayed overnight at the lakes.
We caught all sorts of small stuff -
from ever-hungry Catfish (Mark),
to the elusive, specimen Archer Fish -
Thomas is the without a doubt "The Master" !
We also got the highly treasured Isok Barb (Steve), Rohu (Florian), and BABY Siamese Giant Carp (Steve).
We set out fra Trat Harbour. Sailing until dusk between the Tropical Islands. Often, we frighten a school of Flyingfish.
Captain Boon fishing for Squid. They weren't easy to hook, but here Thomas got one. They are excellent bait - soooo.....

What a place to have Lunch -
Wish we were there now !
Besides the good Thai dishes, the Cooks included
the fish we caught, both fried and as Sushi & Sashimi.
Time for a swim in the sweltering heat -
Life is hard...
The sea was full of Exotic Fishes -
it was a total thrill to Snorkel with them.
Here are some of the Creatures we saw:
Fishes, Sea Urchins, Corals, Sea Cucumbers...
Never a dull moment - next, Ban Mee lake -
Target: Barramundi !
For bait, we used some of the small Mackerel
we'd caught at sea + chicken intestines.
I was lucky to catch the first big one -
a beautiful 5½ kg Barramundi.
Florian in the game again -
the Barramundi is a hard fighter.
They fight and jump like mad -
Good fun !

Here Mark holds one of several good Barramundi. Thomas with a Barramundi. An me with a side-catch: Fourfinger Threadfin.
We ended the trip at Nakorn Nayok river -
staying overnight + eating in a jungle restaurant.
We caught mainly some small stuff -
amongst them, a beautiful Black Labeo (Mark).
