Fishing U.S.A.
At last - we're in Texas, eager to fish !
The expectation is evident in their faces...
Half running to the boats -
Where's the Gar, where's the Gar ?
However, the first days fishing on Lake Livingstone
didn't produce any Gars
Day 2: We're at it again on Trinity River A morning like this almost promises results Thorke's float takes off
It's a hybrid Gar - a rare catch Even a good size one - 36½ lbs A dentist's dream !
Day 3: We make a strategic move to Palestine where the river is more exciting narrower, and exotic
Pappy Kirkland has the pleasure of the Brits Mark has the first bite here and he lands a 40 lbs Alligator Gar - the target fish !
Next Henrik has the bite The first Alligator Gar does this to you Henrik with a 37½ lbs Gator Gar
Day 4: Steve has the first go Airborne Gar - a great fight and a good result - 68 lbs Gator Gar
Day 5: We have several bites in the same big pool where I get a 70½ lbs - and Thorke gets a 59½ lbs Gator Gar
Day 6: Livingstone Dam We fish for various species such as Buffalo Carp
Catfish species Sunfish species and Bass species
We move down-river, and fish for Gar While the floats are out, Rune catches a Longnose Gar on a Rapala
Shortly after, he hooks a big Gator Gar The biggest of the trip: 121 lbs I believe he is happy with the images of the Gar
Last day: We fish near Huntsville again Steve & Thomas get nice Gar: 77 lbs & 40 lbs Steve is understandably happy
