Fishing Norway

Thomas & I flew to Tromsø to meet with
trolling fishermen from Team Ølstykke, at Vannøya.
Food was very important on this trip. First morning, getting ready.

Just outside the basecamp we fish for baitfish: Pollock. And there are lots of them.
Onwards to the Halibut areas. Baits down, and waiting. We fished with these big jig/fish rigs.

But even though, the greedy Tusk take them. Michael with a Tusk. A feast, frying big sausages onboard.

First Halibut I see... is caught by Max & Martin. Max released the nice fish.
Look, we had good weather for a day. Tore is setting up the downriggers. We fish with dead-bait on a spinner-rig.
The Halibut seemed to like that rig. Closeup of my first Halibut. Tore & I with my 33 kg Halibut, caught the spinner-rig.

Afterwards, I fished with the great Savage jigs. And the Halibut like them too. Joel lands the Halibut.

We found this fish-louse on the Halibut. Thomas cleans the fishes. The biggest Halibut of the trip:
Martin Lassen's 86 kg beast.
